Return to Eternity

Since the last update, I played a bit longer, but then got sidetracked for a couple months by a big real life project, which will continue to have me off on occasion over the coming months, just not completely gone.

And it's taken a while since return since I've had time to work on an update here.

There's been some upping of the levels though. Rather than going through every level like I normally do, just gonna cover the bigger stuff in summary as the other would take too long.

Pears

Since the last pear update, there's been 50 more found.

I've decided to stop showing all the screenshots for pear finds. There's too many of them. ;-)

The screenshots are all generally looking the same now. I may post a few more interesting finds in the future, but basically put they're not different than the many posted before.

Magic

I've kinda-sorta started working on this again... not in any power-leveling way like the mana drain methods, but I'm trying to use magic more when like mixing at storage, using TS magic instead of pots when hunting invisible rats, mana drains when kicking DCWs and FCWs, anywhere I can toss some magic in, I do.

Once I hit my Engineering goal, I plan to switch that god to Magic, then with my "above average" alch skills combined go for some massive magic leveling. I've even started stocking for that.

The days of mana draining bears, the method I used to use on magic days, are essentially over. I focused on bears since I could use their furs for summoning, but I'm working on switching to tiger stones now so no more use for those furs.

For now, one magic level... gotten while doing a tele-to-range.

You advanced to level 78 of magic!

Magic 78

Attack/Defense

Still continue to be almost exclusively leveled by dailies, though I have found myself more frequently doing a round or three on one of the double FCW spawns. Mixing skills will continue to be dominant for the foreseeable future.

Harvesting

There's been a motherload of hydro harved. A good 13k or so in the past several months. The skill itself, not being paid attention to, I level when I level, I don't look for high experience. But...

You advanced to level 113 of harvesting!

Harvesting 113

Manufacturing

My "other god" that I have a goal for, so I can get it switched to another. I still have quite a way to go on that goal, probably get to my Engineering goal first.

But books are being regularly read, helms are mixed both at Trik and in the school when I can afford it (most gc going to other things at the moment). And the skill is getting a decent amount of attention.

You advanced to level 86 of manufacturing! (book finished)

Manufacturing 86

You advanced to level 87-88 of manufacturing! (both in school)

Overall

It's wonderful to finally hit one of these on the rare occasions I do. ;-) I've given up on focusing on getting to the next one though, just letting them happen naturally as I power-level in various skills.

Your overall level is now 159!

Overall 159

Ranging

I've taken advantage of several ranging days, which has gotten me another 5 levels since my last update.

You advanced to level 51-55 in ranging! (all done in arena)

Ranging 55

Tailoring

No god, so no focused plan. I intend to continue leveling this, though on a brief hiatus as I need the gc to work on other skills.

But a school day with a stock of fabric ings led to another 4 levels.

You advanced to level 61-64 in tailoring! (all done in school)

Tailoring 64

And the big one... Engineering

A labor of... labor. I've dropped Point Defense as the leveling item now, as those are starting to take forever to get to the next level and have become a waste of good Eng Day time. Those still working up, yes, they're awesome, keep using them until you're ready to move on to...

Failure predictors. We're heading into heavy ing territory here.

I got a couple levels before my 2-month hiatus, then:

With stone in hand, I spent close to the full 6 hours on a day I clicked into existence doing non-stop failure predictor mixing, which led to 5 levels.

You can see what was left in my bag as I got the last level in that in the image below. I continued mixing for another 2/3 or so of a level before ings finally ran out. (And for the hyperbag jumpers, no, I have nothing left in there, hehe.)

You advanced to level 86-90 in engineering! (all done in school)

Engineering 90

Yes, it took quite a long while to build that hyperbag before setting off the #day stone.

I started collecting ings for Treasure Finders at this point, but due to focus on other skills I wasn't heavily focused on it. Did get about 3 hours worth to mix though when another Eng Day came along, and poofed them in speed hax mode between sto and school, carrying only ings for 11 at a time as they're quite heavy.

And that led to another 5 levels. (Yes, the below image shows almost 4 hours of the day having passed, but first half hour was spent pear hunting, and another half hour I had to go off for a bit. It was only about 3 hours of actual running and mixing.)

You advanced to level 91-95 in engineering! (all done in school)

Engineering 95

The Continuation...

Engineering is slowly being stocked, for an eventual Eng Day where I'll poof to getting my next level 100 skill.

Meanwhile, alchemy is getting a boost as I've begun stocking for the eventual switch to magic god after that, plus personal mixing and some HE sales on my bot.

Manufacturing will get another jolt very soon. I just need to get off my ass transform into a mule to haul a motherload of leather now that I got some gc for it.

Hmmm, that's not surprisingly all three of my skills with gods. ;-)

I'm stocked for another ranging day should that come up, prepared to stop and use it.

Yeah, that's about it. Oh right, I may go look for some pears, too. Maybe. Possibly.

Hydro, Speed Demon Fun, OA 155

Time spent since my last post has been a very mixed bag of various projects and skills being worked on.

Hydro Run and Run and Run...

Still wanting to buy some Nexus as an all-rounder should be able to do everything.

Finally, combo of
- Kicking Phantom Warriors for S2Es
- Self-mixing S2Es
- Trading off 10:11 Hydro ores for S2Es

I've got enough hydro ore to get one nexus. But since I'm in no rush, I'm just gonna keep letting it collect. More trades, more PWs, and so on... and maybe some beautiful day we'll get a Recycling Day (wow, when did that last happen...) and I'll mix then.

But that's been a big part of game play of late, working towards getting more nexus. Can't be a good all-rounder without the nexus to do *everything*, hehe.

Speaking of Run: The Need for Speed

Out of boredom, I also decided to change up game play a bit and see if I could keep a constant speed hax going.

And with a couple false starts, forgetting to eat to keep it going (Doh!), I've now been running 3 days on the same potion.

It's a little difficult at times, but for others it's just awesome. Though... gah, the food.

The awesome... wow, the hydro runs went quick :-P

Attacking a Skill

No regular training, but dailies got me close enough to an attack level that I spent some time in Bethel finishing it off.

You advanced to level 124 of attack!

Attack 124

A Bit of Magic

Not something I've focused on so it gets leveled rarely, but I spent some time on this skill as well. And on a magic day, I did my usual mana drain + radiation shield training on grizzlies...

You advanced to level 75 of magic!

Magic 75

And I really don't pay attention to leveling this skill anymore, but it still happens on its own on occasion:

You advanced to level 110 of harvesting!

There's a Trik to Mixing Helms

Still got the manu god, decided to put engineering aside for a bit and work on manu some more, as I still want that Child of Stars perk.

But really, can't afford to keep only leveling manu in the school on school days. So... hi ho, off to Trik I go.

And this was another point that having speed hax was nice. Trips to Trik were much faster and less annoying.

With it, a level. And continued a bit after that as well, with plans to continue hitting Trik whenever possible.

You advanced to level 78 of manufacturing!

The Elusive Pear

Out of boredom, I needed something else different to do. So, I went on a pear hunt. And of course, the time I try, it's in one of those maps I normally avoid... Thelinor.

My pear finder told me it was there. I spent almost 1.5 hours there, checking every single mineral, ore, and plant there. And there's a lot, including some that aren't in normal line of sight.

I was about to give up, announce it was there, and let others find it, but then I realised... wood logs and branches. I hadn't noticed the sparse random branches before, nor the wood logs, some of which were kinda-disguised as parts of forts or practically under tents and such.

And so I stayed to check all those. And found the pear finally.

Finding the Pear

I've been on several pear hunts, that's the only one so far I managed to find.

The Alcher in Me, Never Far Away

Of course, I always spend some time doing heavy alch mixing. It takes a lifetime or so to get a level these days, heh. But still, manage it.

You advanced to level 129 of alchemy!

Alchemy 129

Took advantage of Sun Tzu not really because I wanted to level a/d, but because I wanted what is an incredibly difficult to get overall level...

Your overall level is now 155!

Still a Bit With the Engineering

After the wave of levels in my last post, I paused Engineering a bit to do the above stuff. Nevertheless, I still have the god and when an Eng day appeared, I took advantage of it despite being low on stock and did what I could to level it again as well.

You advanced to level 74 of engineering!

Eng 74

Okay, back to play...

Well, of course I still go out exploring, and this time that included a visit to a secret room I'd almost forgotten about. Gimme a beat!

Hydro Runs, Eng Level, Lots of Essies

Last few days has been mostly alching... finished the bars for S2Es (and mixed the S2Es), and as well did some stock essies of almost all types. Some for self, some for selling on my bot.

This morning, I did my hydro runs. 21 runs and like previous ones saw pretty much noone en route... one person afk in the fluffy cave, and 2 others I saw at the hydro itself. No pkers, or at least noone actually there to pk at least.

To the pkers who like to attack people on hydro runs, just two words: "Ha Ha!"

Anyway, got lots of hydro ores now waiting to be turned into bars and into a new nexus purchase.

Got tired of alching today, after making 1.7k matter and almost 2k energy essies in the Bethel feros cave.

So headed back to Naralik, where I mixed a stock of ashes for eventual saltpeter usage:

You advanced to level 45 of engineering!

Engineering Level 45

Obviously didn't do the whole level on ashes... I had also done a few rounds of H/D indicators bag mixing at the turquoise earlier this week.

Anyway, I think that catches me up. Haven't posted since Monday because not really much happening, just lots and lots of mixing.

Oh, I did spend an hour or so on the desert chims at some point, but wasn't really in the mood for it so didn't for long. Really should do that more on my good astro days, to work on eventually getting off the Attack god. And well, my next OA is a wraith visit one. Mixing my way to it seems... ugh, heh.

Still need to make a bit more gc. Planning to get a manu level soon which means buying leather and thread stock, and I really can't afford that much at the moment. Definitely going to have to use Trik instead of the school this time, to reduce the cost, even if it will take a lot longer.

Current plans:
1- More essie stock, particularly HEs (for me and sell on bot)
2- Mix hydro bars and buy nexus
3- essies to mana drain 500 bears with radiation shields (magic level)
4- leather helms for manu level

And squeeze in some time kicking the DCs to get my a/d up, mostly attack.

Hydro Runs and Harving

Yesterday was primarily harving, stocking stuff for both my next potion and tailoring levels.

Got some pot mixing done, and mixed low-level necessities for tailoring (FEs, ashes, WEs).

This morning, I did my hydro runs, getting over 530 hydro ores.

And during it...

You advanced to level 94 of harvesting!

Harvesting Level 94

Okay, now that that's done... do I mix the bars, or hold off hoping for recycling day? Hold off for now, but doubt I'll wait too long. Here's hoping...

Meanwhile, time to check my astro, should be up by now. If so, work on tailoring level. If not, work on potion level.

Hydro, Fluffy, Stones, Overall, and Lenny

Spent yesterday morning doing enough hydro runs to get over 500 ores. Took quite a while, but no interruptions by braindead pkers at least. Not to say I didn't see anyone along the way... one trainer in the fluffy cave as expected, couple others grabbing hydro but only saw them actually at the hydro, and one pretty-much-newbie actually out in a pk area who should be quite thankful I'm not a pker.

I also noticed as I forgot my green cape doing the runs that apparently I've passed the fluffy ignore level. Only thing the green cape is useful now for is chims.

The stones, the stones... been harving for my next 1/4-nexus batch of S2Es. In the past two days I've gotten 2 bindings, 1 reasoning, and 1 will. They just keep coming, heh. Now if only I could find a few nexus stones... :P

Did a bit of mixing bars in the mine at the iron, however it occured to me that my overall was close enough to leveling that just an hour on the feros would do it. So... I took a mining break and went to NRM.

Your overall level is now 132!

Overall Level 132

Was really just taking a break from mining and mixing, not planning to train, so I headed to SRM storage after that.

But... someone was outside the storage waiting for me.

Leonard in South Redmoon

Nice way to celebrate my OA, giving Lenny a big bash on the noggin. :P

Well, today it's back to the iron. After which time to work on that one nagging potion level that'll make it my second 100+ skill.

Still Here, I Believe ;)

Still pre-occupied with other things, so all I've really been doing since my last post is harvesting. Mostly iron, over 50k of it.

I turned those hydro ore into bars, and bought a nexus though. My first bought nexus. Wow, that's a lotta work.

Next goal is to stock up a load of gc to buy something. It won't cost this much, but I wanna get about 400kgc in my storage, so I can buy the item and still have emergency gc stocked.

I guess the harving will come in handy to work on that gc stockpiling, heh.

Really not much to write about. Some minor mixing here and there but otherwise just been harvesting. Mainly posting to show the blog isn't abandoned.

My First Hydro Runs!

Sorry, been quiet a while. While I've been logged in a lot, I've been distracted by other non-EL things so was afk more often than not.

There have been periods of playing though, of course!

I won't bore you with the harving stuff during my mostly-afk time. Instead...

2-3 days ago, grabbed this shot of me during an invasion. This is in Naralik. Zarin is standing right next to me. Can you see either of us in that mess of clops-n-bears? :P

(Remember you can click images in this blog to see the full size version)

Clops invasion in Naralik

The clops-n-bears weren't a problem. The problem was when Zarin tossed an arctic chim in the middle of all that. Had to diss+tele when it got to me.

After a server update, there was a new quest put in the game. I did it with no help.

The award of that quest made me decide I needed a change of pace, and got my next summoning level:

You advanced to level 30 of summoning!

Summoning Level 30

I then decided that, since I had gotten all the needed ings, I was going to sit in Irsis storage and not leave Irsis until I got my next potion level. The new Day of Schools (triple experience in schools instead of double) was started, and I took advantage of that with the final few hundred thousand experience needed to level (and I didn't have to leave Irsis since a pot school is there!):

You advanced to level 97 of potion!

Potion Level 97

Sweet. 3 more to goal! :P

Today, I've been offline the majority of the day. However I was on this morning, and did my first hydro runs!

Harvesting Hydro

I did quite a few trips, harving about 525 ores total.

And that's the update for now. :) Oh, the hydro ore will get turned to bars soon, 50 of which will be used to buy my first nexus.
